Rockin' Christmas

Hi there,

I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I wanted to make a more masuline card, but with the icy feel of Christmas, and this is what I ended up with:

So I took a hobbycraft pearlescent blue 6x6" base card. I stamped a Kanban image and heat embossed with Hi-puff powder to get a frosty effect. I added a white sentiment peel-off, and then punched various flowers from pink Christmas papers, from the Mulberry Wood paper stack. I scattered these around the card, with the majority being in the bottom right.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Simply Create Too #134 Use Embossing
MMM #62 Blue and White
Scrapbook Stamp Society #132 Anything Goes
Addicted to CAS #127 Music
inkspirational #152 photo inkspiration
kort 'o' mania #189 Christmas
craftyhazelnuts #368 Feature a creature
A also have another WIP update for you all :)

Any ideas yet??

I am a member of an ATC exchange group and we exchange cards for birthdays also, therefore I like to make ATC's specifically for birthdays. This is my first selection of ATC's mainly for birthday use, and they are musically inspired too:

They are all basically the same - using musical peel-offs and sentiments, and similar base cards.
This one was made specifically for the Alphabet challenge - U for use three of something.

I would like to enter these into the following challenges:
Allsorts #450 No patterned papers
Catch the Bug - Bold and Bright
AYLI - Anything Goes
Addicted to CAS #127 Music
A snowflakes promise - Anything Goes

Here is a fishtank update for you all:
Almost finished now at 182 hrs!!

Also just a random picture of me at the beginning of the year :)
Thanks for looking and hope to see you all around blogland frequently :)

Vintage Hugz

Today I have another calendar to share with you all - this one is a CAS desk calendar with a lovely vintage image.

I used a basic lilac card for the base. I then used a vintage image that I had been given in an ATC exchange and added it to the card with hearts washi tape. The calendar was added under this and then the sentiment added using peel-off stickers.

I would like to enter this card for the following challenges:
dragonfly dreams - Anything Goes
CASology #282 Hug
CityCrafter #394 All you need is love
SOS #336 Out with the old and in with the new

I also have some pictures of a grupy Simba, because I was enptying the bath (the water had started to go cold, but he wanted to stay bathing!!)

How you interpret this is completely up to you, as long as you make sure you follow the theme and you MUST use either ProMarkers, FlexMarkers, AquaMarkers or Trias on your work, if not you entry will be deleted.

I used Quirky Parrot for my Thank You calendar, which will be winging its way to New Zealand (hopefully this weekend!)
I coloured the parrot to look like my own Cockatoo as he has a long distance relationship with the Lorikeet in New Zealand lol:

Promarkers used - Ivory//Summer Sun//Chestnut//Ice Grey 4
I used a pearlescent green cardstock for the base and layered We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard paper onto yellow card and then onto this base. I wrapped with a papermania Natures Gallery ribbon and then layered an ATC folder onto this. I edged this with green polka washi tape before adding the image - cut on an angle for effect. The sentiment was added to the side and the calendar tab to the bottom.

Something New @ Creative Moments

Hello and welcome to our first challenge of 2018 over at Creative Moments! As always the challenge is ANYTHING GOES, but as our optional twist is so easy this time, I am sure we will see many of you joining in. So what is the twist??  New - so a creation for something new, or using something new - maybe you have some craft stash that you got for Christmas that you have been trying to decide how to use? Now is your time to get it out and have a play :)

Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are

Who are offering four images to the winner

Who are offering a $15 winners certificate
The winner may use the winnings in whatever way they would like in our on-line store, for any of our hundreds of fine products, including the digitals.

Who are offering a custom prize bundle

I have made two DT creations for this challenge. For the first one (and main one) I have used Winter Bird House from Sparkle 'n' Sprinkle to make a calendar - New Year, New Home and New Baby!
For this card I used a piece of white card for the calendar base. I then matted Papermania Botanicals patterned papers (in two different colourways) onto yellow card, cut to size. Natural twine was wrapped around the long panel before fixing to the base, over a cream doily. The image was coloured using Promarker pens (I have also printed off a pre-coloured image to use, so do keep your eyes open!). I die-cut the image before stickig to the base and added a calendar tab to the side. The sentiment was hand written and a hole punched into the top. I then realised it hung slightly off centre, so I added some pearls and a brad to make it hang straight lol. The brad is a Tatty Teddy as this is for my brother and his fiancee and she loves the blue nose bear!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Animal Friends #58 New Beginning
SSS #601
And my second creation was made using some new stash - I got a pad from The Works that has gift boxes/bags ready cut-out and you just pop them out and assemble. So I made this, adding a Limited Runs image that is also new and colouring with Promarkers:

Yup it is a pillow box :)

I would like to enter this gift box into the following challenge:
Allsorts #449 Something New

And both creations are suitable for the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #205 Something New
SOS #336 Out with the old and in with the new (papers and doily had for a while - images both new)
Simon Says Wednesday - Use Patterned Paper

I would also like to share with you all the Garland I made for Yule, after traipsing round Wales for half an afternoon to find the plants.

Thank you for looking,

Christmas Welcome

Hello there,

I have my first Christmas creation of 2018 to share with you today. This was a free gift with a Cross Stitching magazine, and I actually completed the stitching a while ago, but never got round to making the tag up so that it could be used.

After stitching the design I simply trimmed to size and then added it to a KRAFT tag. I have not added the ribbon as I will want to co-ordintate the ribbons on the tags for next year :)

I would like to enter this little tag into the following challenges:
ABC Christmas - playing B for Birds
Country View #59 Anything Goes
Kort 'o' Mania #189 Christmas
AYLI - Anything Goes (I love Cross Stitch)
C4C416 Tag You're It

And as we are on a Christmas post I would like to take the opportunity to show you the last of my Christmas photos!

This tree was iin our hotel room lol. You cannot speand Christmas away without a tree!!

Now I don't think I have too many trees :D

It's all about the baby!

Hello, and welcome to my wonderfully wet part of Wales - what a great New Year. I think it is trying for another Noahs Ark with all the rain - or maybe a bit more up-to-date, like the birth sampler I made for my Maid of Honours new baby, Luca.

This took me 82hrs in total and was finally finished late Christmas Day to be dropped off on Boxing Day before heading back home ready for work the following day! And somebody had a lovely little grin for it too!
I also made him a rattle and a doggy blanket - both knitted and the rattle does rattle too.

I think he is a little young for the rattle as yet, but at least that is better than him being too old by the time I finish making it lol.

I would like to enter my baby goodies into the following challenges:
City Crafter #393 Colourful Dog(s) - the blanket is a dog head
CRAFT #448 Anything Goes
Animal Friends #58 New Beginning
Country View #59 Anything Goes

And here is Doris and what she thought of the Christmas hat I bought her:

Haha - she then threw it at me!! So it went to see Cloud who absolutely loved it! - What a lovely 2nd birthday present!
Then I think the cat ran off with it (the cat was not in with the mouse! The cat was on the stairs when Sarah went out with the hat on her head lol - he thought she was mad).

Thank you for looking and hope 2018 is a great creative year for all!!
